Kathryn Fahy

Kathryn Fahy has been in Rotary since 2006 and is a member and Past President of the Rotary Club of the Iowa Great Lakes in Spirit Lake, Iowa. She is a former Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar (1997 Canberra, Australia) and is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow. Kathy has served on the District 5970 Youth Exchange Committee, District Fellowship Committee, Alumni Committee and Global Scholars Committee. Kathy was selected in September of 2014 as one of 32 young professionals in the United States to attend the inaugural Rotary Young Professional Summit in Chicago. As a result of that summit, Kathy and three of her young professional counterparts formed Rollin' with Rotary and hopped into an RV, packed with the desire to inspire other and bring attention to local and international needs by doing massive Random Acts of Kindness; highlighting Rotary clubs and Rotary youth club activities; and creating large scale community service projects. The group traveled over 1800 miles in 9 days to rally communities in an effort to create excitement about giving, sharing talents, sharing kindness with others and simply being a gift to the world. Kathy currently is also part of the Rotary International Young Professionals Advisory Council and is Zone 28 Assistant Rotary Coordinator.

Kathy has owned and operated K Brand Marketing, a marketing consulting business, since 2006. In addition to over 18 years experience in the marketing and advertising industry, she holds BA degrees in Mass Communication and Business from the University of South Dakota and a Graduate degree in Professional Writing from the University of Canberra, Australia. Kathy is also the Vice-President of the Lakes Regional Healthcare Foundation, and active with The Okoboji Foundation, Friends of the Sami Bedell Center for the Performing Arts, and the Spirit Lake High School Booster Club. She is an Iowa 4-H 400 Foundation Donor and an active member of the Iowa State Cyclone Club.
